Problem with ADATA HV620 1TB HDD

So, I got this hdd a few months back and it worked perfectly by now. For some reason, now it won't start anymore, it makes some weird beeping sound as if it tries to start up and then it shuts down and continues to do so untill I plug it out. My pc won't recognise it anymore and yes, I've tried the drive on other pc's and it works as it should. I have to say that my usb ports are ok, all other devices are connecting without any trouble. Can you help me?

Having in mind it work fine with other computers, it's probably pointless to tell you to check it with a different USB cable, so we'll skip that step. Check if the manufacturer offers drivers for that specific model and install them if there are any available. If not, try uninstalling the drive from Device Manager and reconnect it again, so that Windows can install its drivers again, to see if that fixes the issue. If I were you, I'd backup any important data which might be on that drive, just to be on the safe side. I'd also suggest that you test the drive with an HDD diagnostic tool in order to find out if there are any errors.

Hello. I've done everything you said but none of that worked. However, the pc recognises it now but when I check it's properties in device manager it says "This device cannot start." Any ideas?

You could try reinstalling the USB controllers' drivers of the computer as well. Have you checked if you have the same problem with other mass storage devices?
