HP Pavillion 500 PC series. i want a new graphics card, and i have no knowledge on the subject.

As you see above thats my pc. It has 8 gigs of RAM and a AMD Radeon R4 graphics card that it came with. It wasnt custom built but i have no idea what a PCI slot is or how to fit these things correctly. I want something to be able to run skyrim on high or so.

A good GPU for this is the R9 260X. It'll do exactly that at 1080p. An alternative would be an NVIDIA GTX 750 Ti, which is about the same performance but lower power consumption and higher price. I'm curious about your power supply though. How many watts?

is that inside the computer? or on the tower itself?

EDIT: i believe it has 300 Watts.
