Have been using iobit Malware Fighter and decided to try Malwarebytes. It found 502!! (which were not found by the iobit one) threats which were safely removed. The program asked me to restart my laptop so that the clean-up is to be fully complete. When I started my system I noticed my physical memory at 58% (48% before) and easily going up to 80-90 with just using Firefox. Have this scan and removal damaged my system? And is there something I can do to lower the % ? Thank you!

Solution
1.Open msconfig and go to the startup tab. Only disable the programs you know you don't use
2.In msconfig there is a services tab. Click on it. Sometimes if you disable superfetch and/or windows search from here, it could help free up some RAM

You shouldn't have 2 malware scanners on your system. It could also slow it down so you should uninstall one of those if the above steps don't help
