Hello CamC98,

Hello CamC98,

The parts you've put together is decent and would work well, provided that you upgrade the BIOS of the AMD 970 Chipset based GIGABYTE GA-970A-UD3P in order for it to even recognize the Vishera Processor FX 6300.

The Rosewill PSU is Ok. But I suggest you consider at least a 80+ Bronze Certified instead of just a 80+ PSU.

So consider these parts in order for your build to work right out-of-the-box. No BIOS update required:

- Other parts are fine. No change required.
- The R9 270X needs a quality 500W PSU that can deliver 24Amps or more on its +12V rail.
- The Antec 620W is a quality PSU that can deliver 48Amps on its +12V rail, which is more than enough to power up your entire rig with ease.
- The default CPU Cooler that comes with FX 6300 processor may not be good enough in overclocking scenarios. So I've included a stellar third party budget performer, the Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus, good enough to keep your overclocked FX 6300 temps in check.
- Keep in mind that this build do have "mail-in-rebates" of $40. I hope you're cool with that.

Cheers!

Those components are compatible, but get the Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB hard drive. It will work better with your motherboard. I recommend getting a better quality power supply. Try choosing one from Tier 1 or Tier 2 in this link: http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/id-2547993/psu-tier-list.html. Otherwise, it's a solid build.
