Today I received my Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo Fan (because my case was not compatible) and Nzxt S340 Case So I took all my existing hardware out of my old case and put it all in my new case with the new CPU cooler.

Everything was fine before I changed my case over and now as soon as I start up, I blue screen after about 4 seconds and get "A clock interrupt was not received on the secondary processor" message within the rest of the text.

My Specs;
AMD FX8350
Corsair 8Gb XMS3 x2
Msi 760gm-p23
Sapphire hd 7790 dual-x oc
1TB HDD & 64GB SSD
Corsair cx500

Please help
Thanks.

No it not overclocked and according to the bios the cpu is at 20 degrees

Looks like you can get this stop error if you're using fan monitoring programs. Are you?

Or if MSI have something similar to AI suite which is for ASUS. Power management software by the looks of it, can also cause this stop error.

Since youre using an AMD CPU, one person from a forum fixed it by turning this off in the BIOS Unleashed Mode and/or Core Unlocker

Is this option in your BIOS?

I would say it's possible that one of the cores on the CPU is faulty

Is the BIOS on this up to date?

erk... this is one of the few bluescreens that can point to cpu troubles. it's possible your cpu is overheating due to incorrect mounting of the cooler. or the cpu was damaged when swapping coolers, or you have an unstable CPU due to some power issue.

I suggest you breadboard the system, and see if you can get it to boot outside of the new case

1) did you use motherboard standoffs in the new case?
2) is one of the standoffs in the wrong place and touching the back of the motherboard?
3) is the cpu cooler on right? did you clean the cpu off before applying the new cooler? did you use TIM before applying the new cooler?
4) is the fan working on the new cooler?

these are all things to check

I use speccy to monitor my temperatures.

I have enabled nothing on the bios

I updated my bios around a month ago

1) No I did not use the motherboard standoffs, I used what came with the cooler
2) The standoffs look fine nothing is touching the motherboard, everything is in the holes
3) The cooler looks like it is on correctly and yes, I did clean the cpu off before applying the cooler and I did apply cooler master thermal paste when applying the new cooler
4) The fan is working

What should I do?

And also I believe it is not the cpu overheating because on the bios it says it is 20 degrees and I dont know how I would do damage to the CPU when swapping the coolers as I did not remove the CPU at all from the motherboard.

I have a 500w corsair psu which I believe is enough to power the system

breadboard the system. either you have a broken cpu or you have an electrical problem. lets take everything out of the equation first.

take the whole system out of the case, place the motherboard on something nonconductive like something wood.
unplug/remove everything but the motherboard, cpu, cpu cooler, and 1 stick of ram
power on your system by jumping the power switch with a jumper or something metal like a flathead screwdriver
(obviously no monitor, or hard drive so listen to the boot, see if it sounds/looks like the system is rebooting like before)
if the system doesn't seem to be rebooting, add in your gpu, and watch the boot process.
if no reboots, add in the hard drive
if no reboots, add in the next stick of ram
if no reboots, add in each periferal device one at a time

if no reboots, then your problem is in the case install, either there is a loose wire in the case causing a shorting issue, or the back of the motherboard is touching something metal, SOMETHING in the case is affecting your system

if the rebooting issue suddenly returns on one of the steps it's likely that peice of hardware which has failed. If the rebooting issues are present on the first step the problem lay in the cpu/motherboard.
