  • Laptop
    Windows 8.1 64-bit
    Sager Midern Computers
    Intel core i7-4710MQ 2.50GHz
    8.00 GB RAM
    I boot off my SSD.

Yesterday when turning on my laptop, it took a while to load. It then went to the dpc_watchdog_violation screen. It retried to load again, but failed again. It gave error code 0xc0000001. It also says that there was a problem with Winload.efi. It gave the options of "debugging, low video resolution, safemode, etc." I'm typing this now in safemode.

I looked at the action center and it said "The previous system shutdown at 10:38:27 PM on ?6/?23/?2015 was unexpected." Yesterday was the 26th when I turned it on and gave me the problems. I haven't turned it on since the 23rd.

I tried to "refresh" from the install cd, but it said there was an error. I tried to boot from the install cd, but it gave me the same dpc_watchdog_violation. I did the "sfc /scannow" thing and it said it "found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them." Here's today's result from scannow: http://filebin.ca/26huhlmtr5zn/CBS.txt

I have no previous restore point.

I had no problem since I got this laptop a year ago.

So I reset the bios setup to default settings. It gave the error code 0xc000000f instead of 0xc0000001. I then tried the "repair" option, but it said that the drive was locked. I went to startup repair, and it gave a log "SrtTrail.txt:"

I tried switching around the SSD and Storage drives, but that still had the same results. I can still access the SSD drive in safemode. All the files are there, it's just that I can't boot off it.
