I wanna buy a graphic card, either Sapphire Radeon R9 390 Nitro 8GB or Gigabyte GeForce GTX 970 G1 Gaming 4gb

I'm buying a graphic card, but i don't know what.
But i think i will choose either a Sapphire Radeon R9 390 Nitro HDMI 3xDP 8GB or a Gigabyte GeForce GTX 970 G1 Gaming HDMI 3xDP 2xDVI 4GB.

I'm open to suggestions but I'd like to be under a price of 3700 Swedish kronors, in that would be Dollars that's about 449$ or 285£ and in euros that's 400€ so not a very expensive card.
Anyway i would like some help here, i've done some researching and i think that those two are some of the best cards for that price, but i can go higher to about 570$/508€/362£ but is it worth it??
I wont cry if the card is cheeper than 400€.

Just a heads up My computer screen is 1920 1080 (24") and i will play games like 'payday 2', 'witcher 3' and 'the new starwars battelfront '

please give me your thoughts and ideas, and if you know right now that one card is better than another just say why and leave it as a comment and i will gladly read it.

At 1080p the R9 390 or gtx 970 would give you the best price to performance ratio.

Gigabyte GeForce GTX 970 G1 Gaming seems like a winner to me. A quick, well-priced, overclockable graphics card, that still manages to run incredibly cool and quiet.

Do you guys know what the difference is if you choose 8gb or 4gb, do I need 8gb for 1920 and 1080?
or is it to much, is 4 gb to little.
And do i have to worry about unified shaders? does it make a big difference with 1664or 2560?
And is the 290x better than 390? some people say that 290x is like a big brother to 390, are they right, i know that 390 is a newer version, but it's not a big difference between what they have inside.
is 390 better or worse than 290X?? is 8gb to much?? and is 970 still better than 390 and 290X??

3gb-4gb is the sweet spot for VRAM at the moment. Anything more is just wasted money. 290x is the faster card and but 970 is cheaper, uses less power and has a lower temp and gets around the same performance.

Go with GTX 970 which ever variant you want personally EVGA, ASUS and MSI are the best out there.

You will not regret your purchase.

Depents really on what you want and the prices you get from the store you are looking to buy
E.g. 290x here its cheaper than 970... If you like a cool card, silent and with less power consumption go with 970.
Personally i am in the same dilemma but, this time i want to play with the red team! I will choose an 290x( asus matrix for 375 €) over a 970 for approximately the same money (360-400€) or wait to see the 390x strix with the better cooling solution (also silent)!!! i believe that along with the dx12 realese and future games demand for higher vram the 290x-390x will outshine the 970!!!

My vote to GTX 970 4GB
I brought it 6months ago its awesome
Good Price , Cool & Quiet , Power Saver. High Performance

Go for Gtx 970 or Gtx 980
Both are great.

Definitely the 390. More VRAM (Great for skyrim mods) and better perfrmance makes it an absolute winner.
