Access Point stopped working

I'm using an old Linksys WRT54G as a wireless access point. It's worked fine for almost a year now and all of the sudden it no longer has internet connection. I can still see the signal and connect, but not internet access message comes up when attempting to go to a website.

So far I've attempted to shut down modem, router, and access point for 2 min. then restart each in that order. I've also tried a hard wire connection direct from the access point still with no connection.

Anyone have any suggestions? I can provide the IPCONFIG/ALL data if that would help.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks for the suggestion, I tried it, but it didn't seem to work. I connected to the access point wireless and hardwired and attempted your fix. Still no internet connection.

Not sure if this matters, but when running ipconfig/renew I received this message. "No operation on this wireless network connection 2 while it has its media disconnected."

I also tried resetting all three pieces of equipment after running this and restarting the computer.

That is an important message.

Open control panel, network and internet
Select network and sharing center
On your left there is something that says "change adapter settings" click on it
Right click all or some of these adapters, and enable them

If that doesn't help, right click your ethernet adapter from that previous step
Properties
Inside that window that pops up, click on internet protocol version 4
Click on properties

Set it to obtain IP address automatically
And obtain DNS server address automatically
Apply all settings, press ok and reboot your PC

It might fix your problem

All of these adapters were set to enabled. And my IPv4 were both set to automatic. Any other suggestions?

The linksys wrt54g is about 10 years old. Could it be that it no longer works? Would I still see it as an available network if it was broken?

If it was broken, it wouldn't show up. But not in all case it depends what broke.

Try factory resetting it by pressing and holding the reset button for 15 seconds

It could even be the Ethernet cable gone bad. Replace that first
If that doesn't work, replace the router
