Would GTA online work if i sign in another computer?

Hi I'm building a new a gaming pc for myself and I played enough MMO to just start new and I would like to know if i sign in to my new rig would they start from where I left of online? I wouldn't have to start brand new right? Sorry im new to PC gaming.

Yes, all your online stats, levels, etc are stored online, not locally. However your singleplayer stuff will be gone, unless you transfer your stuff over.
