I am working on a Toshiba QOSMIO G35-AV600, it is set up with 2 HDDs in RAID 0. I am doing a fresh install from the disk with Windows XP Professional. The laptop goes through the entire installation process. I format the drives, set up the partitions and then go through the Windows XP setup. The laptop restarts after finishing the initial setup and then does not go past a black screen with a flashing white underscore.

  • I cannot access the Windows XP repair function from the disk.
I have tested both HDDs and RAM with Hiren’s Boot CD and all are in working condition.
The boot order is not set to boot from the disk.
I would do an ASR with a floppy but there was no backup

Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated!

I cannot boot into safe mode. I also was going to try and ASR with a floppy but unfortunately they had no backups of the OS beforehand.

I can boot into Mini Windows XP with the Hirens boot disc if that would help.

I didn't mean to tag your post as the best answer, sorry mods!
