2 graphics card without sli in windows 10?

HI i am wondering will windows 10 allow me to have 2 different gpu in the same system to improve performance.I currently have a gtx 660 but if i upgrade to a 970 would i be able to combing my gtx 660 with my 970? Also will it matter what motherboard you have as long as you have two pcie graphics card slots

For you to be able to SLI, you will need two PCIE slots, both running at atleast 8X (Speeds of the slots). What motherboard do you have?

Ok, well you are right then. The chart there didnt have the GTX 970, so i didnt know if it would work. But because they have different architecture, they wont work in SLI. You could use one as a Physx card though.

I'd wait till Windows 10 is released and reviewed for this proposed aspect before planning on doing this.

SLI won't work unless you have two of the same kind of card. The GTX 970 is so far ahead of the 660 that it would barely help you even if Nvidia did let SLI work between different cards.
