As of now i am running an EVGA AMD Radeon 7800 series 2gb graphics card.
I am looking into upgrading this into something better but something that i can afford. Im willing to spend around $500 but spending less is always better.
I have been looking at the Radeon R9 380 4gb and 390 8gb cards. Is it worth to spend that little bit extra for another 4gb's of VRAM?
All i use my computer for is gaming so i feel like going for the 390 so that I can put off upgrading again for a few extra years or so.
But any help on finding a graphics card (That is either AMD or Nvidia, i really dont mind) that i can buy that will last me for a while and give me that extra kick in performance that i need. I'll post my specs below to make things easier. Thanks in advance!

My Specs:
Motherboard: MSI Z87 Mpower gaming Motherboard.
Ram: 2x4GB G.skill Sniper
CPU: i5 4690k 3.5GHZ
GPU: AMD Radeon 7800 series 2GB
Hard Drive: 1TB Seagate
Hard Drive 2: 3TB Seagate
SSD: Samsung Evo 120gb
Power Supply: Corsair RM 650 Gold

If you want the most bang for your buck the GTX 970 is the way to go no question about it. Great results out of that card for roughly $330 (that sometimes includes a free game also). Plus the 4gb VRAM will be nice seeing that more and more games are starting to take advantage of cards with more VRAM.

Do you think it will make much of a difference between the lower end brands VS the higher end? I mean i can find a $150 difference from brands.

$50 would definitely be worth it in this case. You're getting a new card not a refurbished one its going to be a little bit more powerful and you get batman. Batman alone is worth the 50 if you could see yourself buying that in the future.

Ah, it's refurb'ed. That possibility hadn't occurred to me. Below I've pasted the card I owned, which is a little lower in price than the EVGA model you posted. As for refurbished vs new, that's something that you'll have to decide. It might end up being a good buy. I will suggest that you not bank on the $10 rebate that the MSI card comes with, as MSI makes rebates a pain in the a$$. I tried and gave up on redeeming it. They clearly make it somewhat challenging in order to discourage people from redeeming them, in my humble opinion.
