Solution
The 4790k is the best, but keep in mind that an i5 4690k + GTX970 combo would easily outperform an i7 4790k + GTX960 combo.
So use your money wisely.

The i7 4790K is a pretty solid Gaming/Video Editing/3D rendering processor that should easily last and serve you for at least 3 years.

But you still want a better powerful, despite of negligible performance difference in gaming than the 4 core i7 4790K, then consider this 6-core processor for £296.34:

I've included the other parts like LGA 2011-V3 socket based motherboard, DDR4 RAM and a decent budget CPU Cooler, to let you know that these parts are required and pricey too.

Where as the i7 4790K build would cost significantly less and you can almost buy the Motherboard, RAM and CPU Cooler for around £400:

CPU: Intel Core i7-4790K 4.0GHz Quad-Core Processor (£257.29 @ Amazon UK)
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler (£23.99 @ Novatech)
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z97X-SLI ATX LGA1150 Motherboard (£89.99 @ Novatech)
Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory (£44.98 @ Ebuyer)

If money is not your problem, then get the i7 5820K build.

Cheers!
