I'm looking to buy a new PC for general use, as well as gaming, things like GTA V, sims 3 and 4 and a few other simulation type games. I would like the PC to be able to connect to WiFi.

I'd preferably like to spend only around £500-£600, but I could probably afford to spend more, if it was worth it to get a computer/parts that would run the games mentioned earlier.

With regards to shopping for value i have no idea where to start for either building or buying. I've never built a PC from scratch before, but would happily give it a go. However I have no idea where to begin with choosing the right parts and ensuring that they are compatible.

I'd like a no fuss, clean cut explanation, link, or list detailing the best option, whether this be buying a ready-made pc, or a list of ALL of the necessary parts when building a pc from scratch (including an operating system).

Any help is much appreciated.

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/8JDpYJ I just quick put that one together. You would want to install windows and games with long load times on the ssd. It does not include a monitor, keyboard, mouse, etc. For your other question you should defiantly build a PC yourself. You get much better performance at a lower cost. To make sure parts are compatible use a website called pc part picker. You can use the build I made for reference or if you want use it. You can message me with any other questions. Good Luck!

This build will run games with high to maxed out settings at enjoyable FPS.
SSD will improve drastically your overall general use experience. 250gb is enough for OS and a few games, i wouldn't go for less.
If you won't be pleased by stock Intel coolant, you can add http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/part/cooler-master-cpu-cooler-rr212e20pkr2
