Am upgrading my PC and would like to purchase a new PSU as it's been a while since i've done so (currently have CX500).

Though i will be upgrading my graphics card to a single GTX970, 980, R9 390 or 390x i may SLi or Crossfire next year and will be adding an SSD alongside my platter drive.

I was considering a Corsair RM750, however i've read about an issue regarding units made by a company for Corsair that are sub-standard (the company in question has since been removed from Corsair's OEM list). Further research has revealed that Corsair's reputation in the PSU steaks in general has taken a bit of battering of late. So, do Corsair still make quality PSUs? Are their issues restricted to the cheapening of a few lines? Has criticism been fair? As the RM750 is now off my list i was considering the AX760 as i'm attracted by the 7 year warranty. Are these issue free?

Another PSU company i've considered is XFX which i understand are made by Seasonic who, from research, seem to be highly regarded. I like the XTR 750 which i think has a 5 year warranty.

So which would be best? Are they neck and neck in quality or should i opt for the XFX given Corsair's supposed drop in reputation?

Constructive answers only please.

Many thanks in advance.

Cheers for that. Didn't know about those EVGA power supplies. Read a few reviews (inc' Jonny Guru) and they get excellent comments and seem to offer great value. Now top of my list.

I think the power consumption and heat of AMD cards has helped me make up my mind on my GPU selection.
