Recently my MSI laptop was blue screening with messages like Memory_management, about 5 different ones, since. My antivirus had just ran out and it's a perfectly good laptop I came to the conclusion I was hacked. Therefore I went to completely reset my laptop to factory settings and I noticed the reset loading bar went to around 34 ish % and jumped back to one, I left it resetting overnight to see if it would eventually work and I found it the next morning with "There was a problem while resetting your pc" and now I find myself starting up with automatic repair followed by a menu with continue using windows 8.1, use a device, troubleshoot and turn off your pc. Continuing sends me staaight back and no other options seem to work. I've looked around on the forums but I can't find any solutions that work. Note my loop came pre-installed thus I am without a windows 8.1 installation disk and do not know If installing windows 7 (not exactly a legit copy) will void the warranty.

Hello BugsyBro. Firstly, don't install a pirated copy of Windows 7 as yes, this will invalidate any warranty you have for the machine. You will need to create a bootable USB of Windows 8.1 and reinstall from this. There is a guide on how to do this here: http://betanews.com/2013/11/06/how-to-create-a-bootable-windows-8-1-usb-drive/#1. Once you have the bootable USB made, boot into the USB device by selecting 'Use a device' and finding the USB. This should allow you to install a fresh copy of Windows onto your PC. One thing to ensure you do is to delete all partitions that you can during the installation so that the system is set up with only the needed partitions. Let me know if you need any further guidance.
