I'm using AMD Overdrive to check the temp only (No OC) and on idle the thermal margin usually stays below 20C and sometimes jumps to like 30C for a split second. My room is kinda hot, but is this normal? Under load I go into the negative but usually above -10C. Also, I'm using stock cooler. I tried applying Arctic Silver 5 to replace the stock paste but it doesn't seem to have helped.

Dont worry! if you have a well vented case you're fine in reality, or at least very likely. See, the FX series doesnt actually have a probe to measure temps, it uses a mathematical algorithm determining temps based on usage and such.
