Hi there,
This is my first time on a forum.
I'm building my own PC for the first time.

First of all please tell me if the specs look good->
-i7 4790k (ill overclock)
-Corsair Vengeance 8gb ram
-Corsair Graphite 780T (white case)
-EVGA SuperNOVA NEX 750G (PSU)
-Western Digital Blue WD10EZEX 1TB 7200 RPM (main storage)
-SanDisk SSD PLUS SDSSDA-120G (boot drive)
-MSI GTX 970 4G (will have another one after 6 months or so for dual sli)
-Custom Water Cooling Loop

But im still confused with the motherboard.
I'd need a Z97 to overclock my CPU and GPU
But I cant find a black n white motherboard which would basically go with my case, which has good specs n is under $160

Please help.

Thanks,
Kinsh C

this is what i would recommend. the i7 is out of your budget unless you take the extra 100 dollar hit or lower your gpu and lose some gaming quality. i kept a black/white theme (the msi gpu is white/black dont go by pcpartpicker's picture). the nex power power supply is a base model and not so great so i put the gs upgrade. water cooling is unnecessary and should not be added in this price bracket. it can be added later if you really want it. i have my i5 from 3.5ghz to 4.6ghz with an air cooler like the one i selected for you. you are budgeting way too much money into the case for what you are spending. a more functional machine is much more important than the case it is sitting in.

your build def needs some tweaking. tell me your budget and what you are using this for. ill rebuild this for you for better performance per dollar. a z97 would be the best option for overclocking your cpu. your motherboard will not effect overclocking your gpu.

Thx fr d reply.

My budget is about 1000usd and ill probably be using this for gaming (GTA V at 1080p most of the time) and maybe video editing. I also found another mobo- GIGABYTE GA-Z97X-SLI
I dont mind the colors anymore

Please improve my build
