Choose Graphic Card is Worst

Hi Guys, i want to buy a laptop that i can run lightroom and play some games as i never tried games on computer before. But i dont know how to pick the right laptop i usually go to this site http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/high_end_gpus.html to check the cards when im browsing a laptop on ebay or amazon. But there is Series with Letter M at the end Like 860m what does M stands for? why does the Cards without the M on that website seem better in benchmark?
i asked my buddy which is better http://vancouver.craigslist.ca/rds/sys/5042446072.html or http://vancouver.craigslist.ca/van/sys/5083360706.html if you had 2 choose between the 2 for same price which one? One comes with 850m graphic card and other 760m but also have 120 ssd included. his response was *850m is weaker than the 760m even though it is newer. Definitely the one with the ssd is a way better deal* why is 850m higher number weaker than 760m, Can someone please help me understand? i couldnt find any youtube video explaining it. Thanks

The m is the gpu stands for mobile which are designed for laptops. As they are smaller than desktops, they are not as powerful as their desktop counterparts.

I am not sure why people as saying that the gtx 760m is better than the gtx 850m because according to notebookcheck, the gddr5 version of the gtx 850m beats the gtx 860m in some case which is better than the gtx 760m. Also looking at the spec for each one, the gtx 850m has a huge advantage over the gtx 760m.

The M stands for "mobile" meaning its used in laptops. Cards without the M are better because they are for desktop pcs so they have more powerful components. Your friend is true, the 760M with ssd is better than the 850M. This is because the 760 is in the 700 series and the 800 is in the 800 series. The higher up in each series, eg.-(750M,760M,770M) the better. So the 860M is better than the 750M but th 760M is better than the 850M.
