Im building a gaming pc and it requires a 500 watts powe supply so will my 360 watts ups provide it atleast 5 mins of backup power ?

I'd get at least what the power supply can use - 600W or more. And choose a UPS with enough battery time to enable you to shut the PC down before the UPS gives up. Say 10 mins.

1000va is the input power. for a 1000W PC you'd want 1200 va at least.
