My laptop says it is connected to the wifi but internet does not work. I know its not the internet itself because other computer and phones use internet perfectly fine.

I thought using an ethernet cable might do the trick but that didnt do anything either..

Troubleshooter said that it detected a problem with the wireless adapter or access point.

Tried restarting router & restarting the adapter manually in the computer through Device Manager. Neither worked.

Helppppp

Solution
If BOTH cable and wireless don't work, then it is more likely a local (host) problem than a router/AP problem.
Verify that there are no exclamation points in the device manager. Try running sfc /scannow to verify the integrity of the windows files. Verify that you have a valid IP address using the ipconfig /all command.
