I have a few questions. My first question is I have an HP ENVY 700-147c with 12GB RAM 3.70ghz processor (AMD with Radeon HD Graphics) will I be able switch to the Geforce GTX 980M graphics card? This new graphics card run DirectX 12 I currently have DirectX 11 I'm not sure if there is a compatibility problem here? I'm new to graphics cards and want to know before I invest $530 in a new card if it will work. ALSO it said it requires 500watts minimum and my current PC has 300watts so I will also have to replace the power supply with a 600watt or 700watt power supply...will this be a problem or once this is done will everything run smoothly? Thank you in advance. I'm new to most of this.

Solution
The M series of cards is for laptops. Your PC is a desktop, so you'll be installing the GTX 980. As you know, you'll need a good quality 550W power supply to be able to run it. You'll need another $60 for the power supply.
