CPU (FX8350) overheating after installing new Power Supply (CX600M)

After installing the CX600M my fx8350's temps have rose significantly while under load, from 45c to 60c+. I've replaced the thermal paste on the CPU and I'm fairly sure I've fitted the heatsink correctly too, could it be the new powersupply?

No . The new psu is not the problem and it could not be causing the processor to get hotter

How are you measuring the temps ?

Use AMD Overdrive. Most 3rd party programs give incorrect temps on AMD based systems.

AMD Overdrive is roughly measuring 25-36c while idle, yet doesn't really increase much while playing games, while HWmonitor gives around 35c while idle and 55-60c while under the same load.

Update: Realised the original AMD Overdrive readings were margin rather than the actual temp, derp

Although it says my cpu temp is -294c on the Board status tab..
