I have 4 2gb crucial brand sticks of ram. Can i replace 2 of them with PNY 4gb ram sticks? I feel like ill run into problems but i dont know what to look for

Solution
Depending on the age of the RAM, CPU, motherboard, you will have variable success. Best case scenario it will run at the fastest common speed available to all sticks.

RAM used to be picky, it's much less so these days, but it's still possible it won't work (heck it's possible for you to pick two of the same sets of RAM from different boxes and they don't work together).
