changing a graphic card

hi all
i currently have the EVGA GeForce GTX 960 4GB SuperSC ACX 2.0+.
i want to upgrade to the PNY GTX 980 4096MB VCGGTX9804XPB-CG
should i? is it a good card?

and if so, should i remove and update drivers?

I usually avoid the 980 not because its a bad card but because it doesn't offer very good value for money. Its performance is very similar to the gtx 970 while costing much more. I would either go for the gtx 970 which will pretty much max out any game at 1080 with 60 frames per second or go with the 980ti if you want to get serious.
