Hello!
I just put together a new build for my birthday and my new ram is giving me some grief. My specs are as follows.

Athlon x4 860k
ASUS A88x-Pro
Corsair Vengeance Blue (CMZ8GX3M2A2133C11B)

I noticed no speed gains after replacing my old 1333 for my previous build so I checked it out. it's the correct amount of ram but the speed is running at 1333. It's my understanding that this is the default speed setting for any ram the mobo doesn't know how to handle. I have attempted to set the speed manually but it refused to post Bios after I did so I'm hesitant to monkey with that again. I also updated my bios to the newest version. No luck. My cpu supports 2133 and the mobo goes to 2400 even so it's kinda odd.

My question then is what can I do about this? Could it be a matter of something wrong with the ram itself? Or did I screw up on picking my ram for this mobo? I tried to look it up on the vendor lists on the ASUS sites but they were really confusing and I couldn't pin down which one I needed to look at.

Knocked it right out thanks. I was hoping it'd be some small stupid thing I was missing and therefor easy to fix. Saved my bacon!
