I already bought a vga to hdmi cable thinking it would work to connect my laptop to my tv just top find out what I need is a displayport to hdmi cord instead of trying to return the cords which I purchased online from overseas and buying a displayport to hdmi cord which would cost me more in total then what this would if it works can I just buy a displayport to vga(female) adaptor and connect it with the cable I already have from computer to my tv?
