What is a good and cheap wireless adapter for this gaming pc build?

On my laptop I get 54 Mbps. My desktop will be using wireless because I don't feel like running an Ethernet cable across the room. What wireless adapter will allow me to get my full internet speed while staying fairly cheap (under 75 dollars and preferable around 30 - 40 dollars).

Also, if you have any tips on where I can further improve my system, please tell me. And no, i don't think an ssd is necessary.

I was actually going to link to that one too. It's technically better since it's 450 instead of 300 but you are going to be limited by your internet. Also maybe your router as far as intranet goes. I never really had any issues between the usb and pcie wireless cards I've used. Depends more on specs rather than where it plugs in at but pcie allows for more power so could have an advantage. Also they usually have multiple antennas.

Yes you put the gpu in the 3.0 slot and you can put the wireless card in any other pcie slot.

yea of course i play multi-player games. i don't know where you're getting your information though... i play multiplayer games on my laptop right now and on most games i get around 30 ping. if i connect to Ethernet i get around 25 ping. honestly though... i cannot see any difference between the two.

its obvious that much difference, but ul get ping spikes or packet loss if u play from wifi because of obstacles and things like that,

if u really want a wifi routr then go for Asus DSL-N55U Wireless-N600 Gigabit Router, N66 is also good

I HAVE A ROUTER. i'm asking for a wireless adapter. you know... the thing that you put into your desktop so that it can access wireless networks?

is it better or worse than the one you suggested? Are there any differences between usb ones and internal ones?

it has: 1x PCI-Express 3.0 x16 Slot, 1x PCI-Express 2.0 x16 Slot (runs at x4), 2x PCI-Express 2.0 x1 Slots, 3x PCI Slots

what are the differences between them? is 3.0 faster than 2.0? If so, I am supposed to be putting my gpu in the 3.0 slot and then the wireless adapter in the 2.0 slot right? please help... i know how to build a pc but i don't know everything about them yet
