We have 2 laptops both were connected via WiFi to our network + router to turn on my WiFi I just pass my finger over the WiFi symbol then the blue light comes on and I'm connected as normal, on my wile's Laptop you press the WiFi symbol on F8 button but now the blue light does not come on, so that tells me the WiFi on her Laptop is not working so she cannot connect to the network. As a temporary measure I have connected her Laptop to the router via a 10 mt cable and that works fine but very inconvenient. Is there anything I can do on the Laptop to get the WiFi working and that blue WiFi light to come on? This all happened after she tried to play a game on Facebook a warning can up that said something like, to continue you need to download "Kaspersky" Malware. We have Norton Security done a full scan but found nothing. Please help.
Thank you, James.

Thanks for that Grandmaster, but I wouldn't have a clue how to do that. Window Techies says, "We strongly advise against fixing Wi Fi Connection errors manually. Doing so could take several hours, do more harm than good, and end up not even resolving the underlying problem.Recommended: To repair Wi Fi Connection errors, use this software package: PC Health Advisor. This repair tool has been proven to identify and fix Wi Fi Connection errors and other Windows problems with very high efficiency. What do you think? Thanks

Like I said I don't know how to uninstall and reinstall the wifi driver, and I'm not to savvy when it comes to computers, do you think you could explain to me in easy to understand terms how to do this, thank you, James

You have to start with your router configuration. Once you are able to connect and access that, use the provided instructions from your router company to do an easy setup. You might have to start from scratch. The thing about the easy setup is it's a general application and not really customized. Let me know if you want further instructions.

Thank so much for your help and concern It's all fixed now your going to think I'm a bit silly but I finally figured it out I knew I had to press F8 button for WiFi but I forgot to hold down the FN key while I clicked the F8 button not sure what the FN stands for but it worked. I stand here red faced! Thanks once again, all the best to you, James.

Yea no problem. Unexpected problems pop up all the time but I like to break things down to a simple level to work with. Have a nice 4th of July!
