Welcome to Tom's Hardware, Slynk!

Well, I'd have to disappoint you. Changing the motherboard and the computer altogether requires you to install a genuine operating system. Your old Windows 7 installation won't work with the new motherboard, unless it's identical to your old mobo. However, if you have the drive hooked up to your new computer, you should be able to access the files stored on it but booting wouldn't be possible.

Hope I was helpful. Good luck with your new rig! :)
