values locked in bios

I have Asus Z97 and a 4790K. I have enabled the OC switch on the mobo but . All the OC values are still locked in AI Tweaker. I searched the forums but didn't find anything. this basic. I must be missing something. The 4790 can be overclocked right? Noob

Sorry for the stupid question. I didn't dig very far for the answer before I asked. My BIOS is 2014 vintage. I'm still working on getting the BIOS flashed to see if that's the problem.

Thanks for your response. I found the Asus BIOS update page. My BIOS is 2014 and there are several newer ones. I can download the installer and the BIOS file (.cap) but the installer or EZ Flash recognize the file type. The filenames look like this..Z97-DELUXE-ASUS-2401.cap. I'll keep poking around the Asus web site. Someone else must have had problems with this also. Thanks again.
