New Build Specs - Check and Advice Please Experts

Hi guys,

I want to build a new 4K gaming PC, I'm looking to spend from £2000-£2500. I've been given this spec below and I was wondering if it's any good (total cost including VAT £2150). Can you guys see any flaw in this spec or can you improve upon this spec? Thanks for your help.

The build looks solid. However if you have enough fund, I would suggest Intel Core i7-5820K for the CPU. Its new and has more physical cores.

Thanks guys, and thanks sadams04 for that build which I'll likely go with.

Just a few questions:

1) Is it worth getting a dedicated sound card?

2) Would getting two SSD drives put into RAID0 make much of a difference to read/write speeds?

3) Can the system put up by sadams04 support liquid cooling?
 

No. The onboard audio will be perfectly fine.


Not really. While it would be fast, a single SSD is fast on its own. If you want to setup up here, look toward the Samsung 850 Pro 256GB instead of the EVO.


Absolutely. The Fractal R5 can handle a 240mm radiator up front if you choose to go with a large setup...
