Which motherboard should I get for an MSI GTX 970 + i7 4790?
-MSI z97A gaming 7
-Asus ROG VII Ranger/Hero

For a locked 4970 or an unlocked 4970k? If the CPU is locked, there is no reason to buy a board like these at all because you won't be overclocking and that is what these boards are for.

I was thinking of going with the locked one because I only have gaming purposes. Is that okey? If so, what is the best mobo I can get for that locked processor, taking into account that i'll probably go into SLI 970s in a couple of months.

The full rig would be something like this:
-i7 4790
-coolermaster hyper 212 evo
-corsair vengeance pro 16gb (8x2) 1866mhz
-samsung 850 evo 500gb
-msi gtx 970 gaming 4g (will get another one for sli in a couple of months)
-any 1tb 64mb cache HDD
-evga supernova g2 850w (im getting it with pretty high rebate that my dad got me, thats why the overkill)
And I think thats pretty much it. For the mobo I wanted something that could easily handle this specs + the future 970 sli. I have no problem in spending some more money in getting something reliable and good enough. What would you recommend?
