So, last night I tried to install a 4GB RAM (Let me know if you need RAM specific model, brand was Adata), but it would not be detected by my new laptop. I placed the 4GB back into the old one to see if maybe I had mishandled the stick and defected it, but old PC detected without a problem. Then, I tried to install the original one back and it's showing that I still only had 4GB of RAM (I'm assuming the second slot is behind the keyboard, and I'm very reluctant at the moment, to do it myself. Is it possibly a faulty slot?
When I took the original out, it popped up when I removed the clips, but I had to also wiggle it out. And upon placing back in, i had to wiggle it also. However now, no wiggle is needed and it DOES click in, but unlike the one in my old PC. By all
appearances the slot does not seemed to be damaged, and I've tried to reinstall several times. I've read several articles from this site, and others, and nothing. Any ideas? Advice? Do i need to take it for repair?
New PC has a Intel i5 5200u.
