Is the AMD-FX 6300 worth upgrading to?

I bought my PC pre-built last February and I had no knowledge on building PC's or upgrading them. I recently upgraded to a GTX 750ti, it really increased my performance however I was always wanting a better performance in games such as Arma and Dayz which are very heavily dependent on the CPU.

I have an FX-4100 at 3.6GHz.
Is it worth spending €120 to buy an FX-6300, or should I just buy an aftermarket cooler for €25 and overclock my CPU to 4.1GHz+?

All answers appreciated.

I agree try an overclock first and see if that helps. However i doubt it will, ARMA engine games just dont run well on any amd processor (i know this from experience) they will be fine outside of cites and towns but inside cities the frame rate tanks, i can play at about 20fps in cites on dayz and that is with an overclocked fx 6350 and a gtx 760. Its a very well known issue unfortunately, it seems like the guys who make arma cant or didn't optimize there games for AMD cpu's.
