so GeForce scanned my PC for games that had optimal settings for my GPU (GTX 960) and it only found one game, smite, when i have a lot of games that are supported
these are the games i have that it should have found

Bioshock Infinite
Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2
Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2: Multiplayer
Grand Theft Auto V
Far Cry 3

why did GeForce ignore these games and how can i make it find them it?

(UPDATE FOR FUTURE PEOPLE! CLICK THE + NEXT TO THR GAME LIST AND ADD YOUR GAMES FOLDER!! THEN RUN THE SCAN AGAIN)

Solution

If they're in the same folder, it shouldn't matter. If they're not, go to the preferences tab, then select "games" on the left panel. A list of folders should come up. Click on the "+" button to add folders to be searched. Click "Check Now" to rescan. Let me know if this finds the games.

Have you played those games at all? Unless something isn't working correctly, it won't find a game because it's either not been told where to find it, or the game has never been played and had user configured files created for it.

Edit: I'm thoroughly displeased with the software. It will be the only way to get SLI profiles normally going forward, making it a required software SLI users. It tries to do too much imho. Nvidia's recently used this as an excuse for unstable drivers "our drivers have more lines of code than the windows operating system." To me, that spells trouble. I only install exactly what I need. I've had GFE on the system since April to check it out, and its now permanently gone.

Grabbed from the web - screenshot of what you're looking for as far as settings. Your location(s) would obviously be different.

Looks like you got it sorted out. I had to run to the dentist. I expected it to have some default locations in there like ....program files... etc, oh well on that I guess.

Happy Gaming!
