My computer has been slowing down lately and looking to invest in a new rig. Always wanted to build my own but ran across this deal on BestBuy

http://www.bestbuy.ca/en-CA/product/acer-acer-aspire-tc-desktop-pc-intel-core-i7-4790-2tb-hdd-16gb-ram-nvidia-gtx-745-windows-8-1-atc-603-eb12/10362258.aspx?lang=en-CA&pcname=&sku=10362258&path=afa180f53a6bb8d3a6a26574a31673c1en02

Was wondering if this was worth the price? And also if I could build a significantly better PC for the same price or less?

The CPU/GPU/RAM/OS/HDD alone seem to be right around 950CAD (inc. tax) and this would end up being 1036CAD total.

In terms of usage, I'd like to be able to run games in windowed mode at mid-ultra settings while having twitch/youtube video streaming running on the other monitor w/o any lag. Not really any intense games - mainly Diablo 3 and Heroes of the Storm.

Thank you for the advice!

PS: all the prices are in CAD so overall it would be around 850USD

Ever drink schnaps or moonshine from the bottom of the kettle? That's what pre-built computer are. You don't need graphics power? That's fine, buy a Xeon 1236 or 1246, or even 1276.

But rest assured, whatever we build you here, it will more powerful, as it will be more specialized for the task at hand, than any other generic crap they scraped from the bottom of the barrel and put on the shelf.

You decide... you want us to build one for you?
