i'm upgrading from a gtx 650ti to a gtx 970 , do i need to uninstall the graphic card drivers before installing the 970 ?

I heard some people saying thet I have to do so in order for there not to be bugs and problems,so is this true or is this only if i'm switching from AMD to nvidia and vice versa.

Both cards use the exact same driver. You should be able to just replace your old card with the new.
If your current driver is not up to date, you should probably update it to currency anyway.

They use the same driver. I just downloaded the 970 windows 7/8/8.1 driver and the 650ti 7/8/8.1 driver and it was the exact same file. No need to reinstall drivers at all.
