best ram for inspiron 620

Is it true the best ram for a dell inspiron 620 is the PC3-10600 variety?

That will work. It only has 2 slots for RAM and only seems to take 8 GB max so just get 2 Sticks. Will take to take our your current ones and replace them unless you have a single 4Gb sick then you can just get one and make it 8.

I changed my mind.

Guy was a jerk after I emailed him and started insisting I pay 60 dollars per stick, LOL.

how about this? 1 module Patriot PC3-10600 (DDR3 1333) 4GB for 20 dollars

I have 2x PC3 10600 2gb 1333 sticks right now. Would a 4gb and 2gb stick work well together?

I've heard thats not ideal, and its better for both sticks to be the same. Just how BAD is it to use 6gb of ram that aren't matched?

It should still be a massive improvement over 2 2gb sticks right?

you will be fine for the most part. sometimes even OEM's sells PC's like that. A lot of people would be against it but I have only had 1 time where RAM didnt like each other or didnt like the motherboard.

I know they can be different speeds but...

can i have one stick that is pc3 10600 and another that is like, pc3 12800, even if both sticks are 1333?

Yea because there are things like timings and what not but when ever you mix ram it always runs everything and what ever the slowest one is. So if you have a 1333 stick and a 1600 stick the 1600 would run at 1333
