Hey guys, this year I had recently started playing Steam on the PC more and have come to terms that my 2012 macbook pro isn't cutting it when it comes to certain games. I predominately play fighting games and while the benchmarks are typically near perfect with A- rankings for Street Fighter 4 and Skullgirls, it does lag a bit during two player matches.

I move from place to place often and would like to have a gaming pc that is consolized as possible in order to make it easy for me to take it around. I know people say that you choose the PC case last, but I couldn't help but pick one. Ideally, this build would be based around a Cooler Master Elite 130 Mini-ITX, or a 120 advanced.

Here are some things I'd like it to do well:
-Run fighting games like Street Fighter 4, Skullgirls, Blazblu and 2d platformer indie games on steam flawlessly while running a music player or youtube.
-[If possible] be able to play streetfighter while streaming
-Be decent enough to run the upcoming Street Fighter 5 which uses the Unreal Game Engine.
-Play media such as music and HD films easily
-[If possible] Some basic video editing, I have a GoPro Hero 3 that I like to use.
-1 TB of space.

Right now, my Macbook has these specs:
Intel i5 3210M 2.50 ghz
Intel Graphics 4000
8gb ram
500gb of space

I don't need a monitor or windows, but I do need a wifi adapter.
I'm a college student who's broke but wants to get his game on, so I only have 500 bones to spend unfortunately-- think of it as a challenge!

Thanks in advanced!

Thanks for the response! I have a question though, the AMD Athlon's specs are hard to beat, but I heard it had some issues with overheating if there wasn't enough ventilation. Would that be a concern with a small case like this?

I see, what would you reccommend if I wanted to get a better cooler? I live in a hotter area and my electronics can get especially hot nowadays since it's summer.

Also, do you find that the specs are overkill considering what I need out of this build? If you think it's more than what I need, I'm totally fine with cutting back even more on costs as long as it wouldn't hinder steam's performance.

I honestly cant find any coolers for it that are cheap, better than the stock, and can fit in your case (the one i thought you could get for $30 wont fit). As far as i can tell, the cheapest way to cool your cpu better would be a cheap water cooler around $50

I see, I'll definitely look at liquid cooling as a future upgrade as it's not needed right now. I was looking over the specs and the specs between this box and my macbook pro seem fairly similar outside of the videocard and CPU. How much of an improvement should I expect if I construct this build? It would stink for me to build this only to find out that the performance was only slightly better than my macbook as this box is intended to be the faster, but less portable counterpart to my macbook pro.

Alright, I also am curious to as Corsair's ATX power supply is used instead of an ITX power supply. Will it fit??
