Which AMD processor had similar fucntion as Intel i7?

As we know, Intel i7 has Hyper Threading and at least 4 core... Most of i7 use for multitasking like multimedia(video/photo) editing etc and also gaming... So which AMD either Sempron, APU A8/A10 or FX can deliver same purpose like i7 for multitasking and at least 4 core? Thanks...

the fx 8320/8350/8370 would be your best bet, they all have 8 cores, and are cheaper than i7's, but perform a bit worse. there is the 9370 and 9590, but they are just overclocked 8350's and cost too much money.

in that case i would get an fx 6300, 6 cores and you can overclock it all you want with a decent mobo and $30 cooler.

You could consider a 860K and a discrete gpu: 270.

Basically I do Microsoft Word & Excel for business purpose like quotations, invoice and bills. I am also studying graphics multimedia which do photo/video/3D editing & rendering. I also play online games like Dota. Other games are Pro Evolution Soccer 2015, Rugby Challenge, Counter Strike:Global Offensive, Total War series, Medal of Honor:Warfighter latest series. So which AMD processor can run all of that purposes by the latest architecture?

Why not get a i3 or i5 (if you got budget) and pair with decent gpu? That'll perform your tasks really fast. And add a SSD and you'll go bananas.

It's tough to recommend AMD cpus as they always perform below Intel's. Only reason to get one is budget constraints. A new i5 will smoke the best of AMD for editing work.

Take a look at benchmarks for the i5. You'll see that for multimedia work it is better than amd. You could consider a Xeon cpu (essentially a i7 without gpu) and buy a discrete gpu. This will beat all AMD cpus.

Xeon 1231 V3. An i7 as stated above, for an i5 cost. ANd i5 can't compare with ANY amd CPU except in multithreaded apps really
