Do i need a dedicated soundcard/DAC for my Kingston Hyperx Cloud?
It has 60 ohms of impedance, pretty high for a gaming headset.
My onboard is a VIA VT1708S on an ASUS P8H61-MX R2.0 mobo.
I'm not an audiophile, but I like quality sound and I'm curious if a soundcard/DAC will make it any better.
Thanks in advance!

Hi Makkfej,
The HyperX Cloud I headset provides good sound quality when used with onboard sound cards such as yours. Since the headset runs based on the sound card it is plugged into, the better the sound card the better the sound will be. Since sound quality can be fairly subjective, I would recommend trying out the headset with the onboard sound and if you feel there is room for improvement you can look into investing into a dedicated sound card.

Let me know if you have any more questions!
