Graphics Card (Low Budget)

Hello,

I have a decent PC with a crappy graphics card which is the only thing holding my gaming back
I have 4 gigs of RAM and an Intel Core 2 duo E6400 of 2.13 Ghz
Its a Dell Optiplex 745 MiniTower and it has a Power Supply of 305w or so

I need a Graphics card within 20-50$ (Without having to upgrade the entire thing)
Yep, I know I'm cheap, but I'm pretty desperate since my PC can't run even most games such as League of Legends and DOTA 2
(Dota 2 ftw)

But for some weird reason I can run Elder Scrolls Oblivion perfectly yet games like "Skullgirlz" won't despite being a linear game

And after researchin' my sh*t, I came across these Graphics cards

NVIDIA GeForce GT 730 = $50

NVIDIA GeForce GT 720 = $50

GeForce 210 = $27.50

NVIDIA GeForce GT 520 = $50

NVIDIA GeForce GT 610 = $38

AMD Radeon HD 6450 = $35

Tell me the "best choice" since my budget is pretty much limited, and if the cards that I chose
"will even" work or fit inside the case

Also does it being Single-Width or Dual-Width matter?
And if it does which of the graphics cards that I listed will actually work?

Answer with minimum detail please :3
Just kidding write as much as you want

~Cheers

Solution
Let me give you some Options...

1) Sapphire Radeon R7 250 2GB DDR3 - $77 after rebate - http://www.amazon.com/Sapphire-Radeon-PCI-Express-Graphics-11215-01-20G/dp/B00FLMKIHC/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1435953439&sr=1-1&keywords=AMD+R7+250
Brief Description: consumes only around 65W when gaming and will need the very least a 300W PSU. I asked an R7 250 user running on 300W and they say it's flawless and nothing has gone wrong. small in size

2) Nvidia EVGA GeForce GT 730 2GB GDDR5 - $74 - http://www.amazon.com/EVGA-GeForce-Profile-Graphics-02G-P3-3733-KR/dp/B00L5GZG5C/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1435954142&sr=1-1&keywords=GT+730
Brief Description: Consumes around 55W or less will need minimum 300W PSU. will work...

a 50$ GPU won't do too much for you. Within the GT Series, anything under an x40 isn't meant for any type of gaming, for example the gt 630 can't game, while the gt 640 would be the low end card for gaming. I recommend saving your pennies and getting a GT 740 or 750. You can find them used on Amazon/eBay from between $55 and $100

Hmmmmm.... How about the cards that I listed?

I saw a gameplay video with the GT 730 being able to play Crysis 3 at med settings and he gets solid 30-40 fps
And also I am not looking for a card that can play the most "recent" games, though I am a hardcore player I only want a graphics card that could handle *most* games

most = League of Legends, Dota 2, Borderlands 2, Portal 2, Mirror's Edge and some other stuff

*edit* My bad he was running it on med settings lol
Didn't read description

Cant watch that right now. But i can say that without knowing how much power the card will be able to draw, 12v rail voltage, without knowing what resolution you will be playing at, without knowing what performance you are expecting, it is impossible to give you advice. I am not going to help you with my free time if you are lazy.

And please actually give me recommendations on which to buy on the list I wrote

Please do not give me recommendations on cards that I have not listed...as for sure they are not in my budget "range"

Also tell me which ones will actually physically fit inside specifically for an Optiplex 745 (Dell)

I am telling you I cannot give you recommendations without having the information I have requested. For the third time:
- Resolution
- 12v Voltage
- What performance are you looking for?

It is in fact 12v voltage....
As for the resolution I am not looking for a 1080p gaming experience
I dont mind playing at the lowest settings
Speed over quality...

Given this more thought and this is useless.
"I have a decent PC with a crappy graphics card which is the only thing holding my gaming back"
This is not true. 4gb ram is very low and considering the Operating System will use quite a bit of that, you are not left with much. This means you cannot play games that require 4gb of ram well let alone the 8gb standard. Additionally, your CPU is an extremely weak dual core and will struggle with most games. At this point I suggest saving your money and buying a pre-build machine from a vendor that selling gaming machines due to your very limited knowledge on these matters. Good luck

Sorry if I seem noob.....
I tried searching a keyword "rail" in the my pc's specs
But there isn't any

But when I looked up the word "voltage"
there were different ones....I don't know what you need

PCI-E x1 = 3.3V

PCI = 3.3 Volt External Operation (some pins 5 Volt Tolerant); 1.8V internal regulation

PCI Express x16 = 12V

Other than that nothing else was mentioned...
Is it voltage or power that you are looking for?

The acceptable frame rate is a stable 30 - 40 fps

Yes I do not mind 720p at all...

If you are adamant on buying one of those cards though, just buy the 730. If you do I hope you get what you are expecting. You should be hitting that frame rate in source games like portal and dota with major graphical tweaking, lol should not be a problem, borderlands might be, but a 720p you might reach 40fps

I have no problems with games if its fps-wise
I could run The Elder Scrolls Oblivion on full settings with 30 above fps
(You could check my screenshots on Steam)

You say that a 4 GB RAM is low...
Yet I read somewhere that adding RAM just adds the number of applications that could be run at the same time

I just asked for a Graphics card recommendation and nothing else,
and whether or not will it actually work

I am not looking to play games that are "mainstream" or what's "in" right now
I just want an improvement...not an actual no-lag gaming pc......

And will it (GeForce GT 730) actually work and fit inside the computer
(Given that I have a Dell Optiplex 745)

Dont you see that is the problem? "I just asked for a Graphics card recommendation and nothing else,
and whether or not will it actually work". I cant determine this because you cannot produce the information I need to do so. As such my recommendation stands. As stated above though, if you are going to buy a card no matter what go for the 730.

I am just worried whether or not it will work

Then your help I honestly have to say was not-useful at the least since my purpose for asking this was to know which card would be best and that which of them would actually work

your 745 mini tower has a power supply rated at 18 amps on the 12v rail.

i know this because i just opened my 745 mini tower to have a look.
i don't think any of those you listed would need more than that, but you might want to check before you order.

graphics card wise, a double-slot card may fit if it's not very long - over 6 inches and it'll clash with the shroud around the cpu heatsink.
