Cleaning a keyboard with ethyl alcohol

Ever since I bought my keyboard (it's probably 4 years old now), I never cleaned it properly. I've googled how to clean a keyboard, I know what to do and what to expect. There's only one thing I'm a bit worried: Can I use 96% ethyl alcohol, sanitary and partially denatured? I say this because it's the only type of alcohol I have at home. I've seen it may get rid of the letters in the keys.

If not, can I clean it with a damp rag (ONLY water) or a product used to clean windows/glass tables?

Solution
I suggest Use cotton buds to clean the dust inside the keys and the keyboard itself with little water absorbed.Otherwise use isopropyl solution instead of ethyl alcohol.
