I have an Emachine computer, model number ET1331G, using Windows 7, and Realtek audio. I have unistalled, reinstalled, and updated the driver several times and nothing has changed. I have backed all the important files and am now considering a system recovery. Before I attempt this I want to know: would it actually work?

If its a software issue then ,YES it should work. If its a hardware issue then NO it wont work. I am a big fan of hard drive cleaning anyway and thats what you will do by recovering you system. Ahe will run a liitle faster as well. You have nothing to loose. Your udio is on the motherboard and not a sound card so i am fairly confident IT WILL WORK.
