I am doing BS Computer Science and am currently doing a project on 3D modeling and animation which requires extensive use of 3Ds max. I also have to connect multiple kinects for kinect fusion which does real time rendering. I need an apt PC for this purpose. My budget is quite low, maximum $400.

the best i can recommend is an fx6300, 8GB ram and 970 chipset motherboard, seasonic/antec/fsp 500w 80+ bronze/gold psu.

IMO, you should save up at least $300 more and go for a cpu-heavy pc like one with a core i7 5820k and msi x99 sli mobo, gskil ripjawsx 16GB quad channel kit.
