Keyboard NKRO through PS/2 adapter claims NKRO

Hello everyone,

I've read on several forums (including tom's) that using a USB keyboard through a PS/2 adapter will result at best having 6KRO.

However this site: https://codekeyboards.com/ claims "if you really need it, N-Key Rollover is available over PS/2 with the included adapter."

How is this possible? Is it possible that the keyboard would detect it's working through a PS/2 interface and simply send key updates instead of full key states?

Solution
I believe that to work over a USB-PS/2 adapter, the keyboard already has to detect that it's going through it and output PS/2 signals - the adapter is not active.

I suppose it would be possible to program the keyboard controller to do this, or it could simply be an overzealous marketer.
