When i first built my computer, I connected it to my tv to use as a monitor, and it connected perfectly, with the full hd resolution and no black borders and correct icon sizes, after I proceeded to update windows 8.1 with numerous updates, it seemingly ruined the perfect scaling, leaving my with a too-large for the display screen, and a horrible resolution that even if i change it to full hd in settings, it still looks like 720p. Does ANYONE know some fix for this. Every second im on this monitor it hurts my eyes more.

Right click on your desktop, change screen resolution and try out different resolutions until you've found the right one
Or open control panel and change the display settings from there
