Hi,

So I got my rig built with a bunch of stuff in it in the hopes that I would play WoW on Ultra settings. However, it has fallen short of my expectations quite a bit. Can you guys help identify what could possibily be causing the following issues?

1) Screen freezes and crashes the game. ( I have reinstalled drivers/game etc.)

2) Lag when there are over 20 people doing normal/heroic or doing a world boss raid with 40.

Any other suggestions to increase my fps and still have the ultra setting.

Config: (is this good for Ultra btw?)

Processor: Intel(R) Core™ i5-3470 3.20 GHz 6MB Intel Smart Cache LGA1155
HDD: 500GB SATA-II 3.0Gb/s 16MB Cache 7200RPM HDD
RAM: 8GB (4GBx2) DDR3/1600MHz Dual Channel Memory Kingston Hyper X
Motherboard: [CrossFireX] ASUS P8Z77-V LX Intel Z77 Chipset DDR3 ATX Mainboard w/ IRST, Lucid Virtu MVP, 7.1 HD Audio, GbLAN, 2x PCIe x16 (1 Gen3, 1 Gen2), 2x PCIe x1 & 3 PCI (Extreme OC Certified)
GC: AMD Radeon HD 7850 2GB 16X PCIe 3.0 Video Card
PSU: Seasonic 80Plus Power Supply M12II 620 BRONZE
OS: Windows 8.1

The crashes and freezes I cannot explain, you would have to do some troubleshooting for that. While your CPU is good to run a high end GPU, your GPU is not a high end card. The 7850 (currently a R9 270x rebrand) is a decent card, but not capable of playing WoW on ultra mode (maybe on low resolution).

What would be a good upgrade/substitute for this card that would maintain the compatibility with the system? Thanks.
