CPU Fan Airflow Direction

So this is kind of a newb question but I just bought a Hyper 212 EVO and is there a certain way the air should be flowing? I think Its supposed to go out the top of my case where theree are holes but I'm not sure. Thanks!

Ya I know that it doesn't go on the case. My CPU is near the top of my case and at the top of my case there are holes for airflow. Should I point it blowing out the top of my case where the air holes are? You'd think that's the best thing to do but maybe not I'm new to this.

ah. you should mount it at 90 degrees angle so that the heatsink is between the cpu fan and the back exhaust fan.
